No Theme Thursday - Poetry

Alone She Walks

Alone She Walks

Alone she walks, on streets so grand,
A fleeting glance, so poised and prim,
Her beauty shines, like sunlit sand,
Embracing age with youthful whim.
In daily life’s discriminations,
She finds in self-exploration,
A strength that blooms, defying time,
Her spirit dances, so sublime.

Happy timezones, Friends, and welcome to another No Theme Thursday! It’s great to have you here! I hope you like the poem I put with Kevin’s picture. Thank you for the picture, Kevin!

After I chose this picture, I kept thinking she is a woman alone on the streets. That, of course, could have been a quite dark poem. But I wanted to write something a little more upbeat this time, something that speaks of the woman’s sense of self. So, here we are. I hope you liked it.

Thank you so much for reading, liking, lurking, and commenting! You are important!

  1. I love rhyming poems as it makes a poem musical. I find that rhyme aids the memory for recitation and gives predictable pleasure. Thanks for sharing, and have a good day 🙂 Aiva xx

    1. LOLOLOL Yes! She must have. At first, I didn’t like that she was walking alone on the streets. But I decided not to follow those thoughts for the poem. LOL 😀
