Hello, and happy timezones, Kind Friends! I have greatly enjoyed your responses to my Get to Know You posts!

Shall we get right to it, then? Here we go!

Here is round 20:

  1. What’s the best Wi-Fi name you’ve seen?
  2. Is the glass half-full or half-empty?
  3. What was your favorite subject in high school and/or college?
  4. What qualities do you look for in a friend?
  5. What would your dream house look like?

Here are my answers:

  1. I don’t know if it’s the best, but it’s the most embarrassing. Our son who is a total techie set up our internet. Boy, was I surprised to find out he named it, “It hertz when IP.” 😱
  2. It is half-full.
  3. High school: History, Madrigals, Musical Theater; College: when I majored in music performance, it was Music Theory; when I majored in nursing, it was Chemistry.
  4. Unconditional love, loyalty and honesty.
  5. My dream house is where I live now. It is an Italianate that was built in 1870.

And now, it’s your turn! If you don’t want to participate, no problem!

I’m just glad you’re here. A hello would be fantastic, though! Of course, lurkers are always heartily welcome. xo

Thank you so much for reading, liking, lurking, and commenting! You are important!

  1. Haha loved your answer. I’ve seen some great ones but none are hitting me at the moment. I should rename mine to something funny though. 2. Half full, always. 3. I wasn’t a great student but I went to tech school for Commercial Art, and that was my favorite. 4. In a friend, loyalty & patience because I can be a handful at times. 5. I think mine would be the one I have, but I wouldn’t mind having a farm.

    Great questions again!

  2. Not sure, haven’t seen a lot of creative ones.
I think the glass is both depending on my mood lol.
    Favourite subject is history.
Someone that’s openminded and will be there for me during the good and bad times.
It would either be a mansion or a farm in the middle of nowhere.

This was such a fun post 😀

  3. Cute response to the first question!! I’m definitely a glass half-full person too. My favourite subjects in school were English and math. The qualities I look for in a friend are honesty, supportive, humour and someone with a positive vibe/energy. As for my dream home, somewhere in nature, preferably by the water. Cheers. Linda

    • LOL Thank you. I think looking at the glass as half-full shows what a positive demeanor you must have. English and math are awesome! I think that sounds like the perfect friend. And your dream home sounds lovely, too.

Thank you so much for playing!

  4. I love these, Kymber. My daughter’s Wifi is Snowflake – ironic since it never snows in Texas. My glass is always half full! Favorite subject: Always literature!! Qualities in a friend: Honest, kind and a good listener. My dream house: Mostly it would be about location. But I would love to have an cabin somewhere out of the city where I could have a flower and vegetable garden. Fun!

    • That’s funny her wifi is Snowflake. LOL I’m glad your glass is always half-full! Literature is awesome! I can see why it was your favorite. 😀 I think that sounds like an amazing friend. I think your cabin sounds fun too! 🙂 Thank you for playing!

  5. Your son has a great sense of humour! 😆 And your house sounds lovely.

    My answers:
    1. Can’t recall any clever ones.
    2. As a realist, my answer is “both”. And the glass needs refilling. 😉🍷
    3. High school: history, English, French/ College: photography, journalism
    4. Honesty and loyalty
    5. Sprawling ranch-style bungalow, with a large, private backyard, (completely fenced-in for multiple dogs 🐕🐩🦮🐕‍🦺), swimming pool and hot tub. Waiting for that lottery win! 🤑 We do have a fenced-in yard, but our bungalow is small (built in 1950).

    • Thank you, Debbie. Our son is hilarious! Never a dull moment, that’s for sure.

      1. No worries. 😀
      2. I love that! I think “both” is definitely true depending in the situation. And, yes, could we get a refill, please?
      3. I love your response for favorite subjects. I think photography and journalism would be fun but very hard to learn. You’re a smart cookie! 😀
      4. That sounds like a good friend to have.
      5. I love your idea for a dream house. It would be so nice to have a pool. That’s kind of on a list for us of things we want but won’t ever have. LOL I like the idea for a space for multiple dogs, too. Thank you for sharing your ideas with me.
  6. Loved your answers, Kymber! And your son’s creation cracked me up!

What’s the best Wi-Fi name you’ve seen? No answer for this one. 🙂
    Is the glass half-full or half-empty? Half-full!
What was your favorite subject in high school and/or college? Language Arts and Choir – I used to sing and experienced many moments in the spotlight before I changed lanes in life.
What qualities do you look for in a friend? Same as you!
What would your dream house look like? Ranch style in the country on several acres – room to roam, for privacy, and to have lots of dogs!

    Happy Friday! xoxoxo

  7. These are fun Kymber. The wifi name made me snort and giggle! 😂
    As for me…

    What’s the best Wi-Fi name you’ve seen?
    – None that were as funny as yours but we have a ‘Devil’ in our apartment complex.

Is the glass half-full or half-empty?
    – It’s full, with half air and and half water. Totally copied that answer from elsewhere.

What was your favorite subject in high school and/or college?
    – English. Because I loved reading stories.

What qualities do you look for in a friend?
    – Should be someone I can have fun with but also entertain serious conversations. And someone who can share my secrets.

What would your dream house look like?
    – A dream apartment would be where I could see the sunset and sunrise and have a nice room of my own with plenty of books. A dream house would just be a cottage in the woods, where I could live like a fairy 😂

    • I’m so glad you like this. And, I wouldn’t have giggling any other way than with snorting. 😀

Oooooh, I wonder who “Devil” is? Probably the most unassuming person. lol

I like that answer, copied or not. LOL

English is awesome, and you have an awesome reason for loving it.

Now, that is the kind of friend we need.

I looooooove both your dream apartment and dream house. I think living like a fairy would be so cool!

  8. No cute answer on wi-fi handles. The glass is definitely half full and more than enough, unless I am thirsty at which point it is refillable. Favourite subjects were French and Social Studies. Friend qualities, honesty, humour and fun. My dream house is the one I am in at the time…basement suite after marriage, first home and current home. Happiness is who you are with not where you are. Happy Friday Kymber. Allan

    • No worries about the wifi handle. 😀 You are so right about the half-full cup. French is something I could never get the hang of. I would like to try it again, though. Social studies can be very interesting. I love your dreamhouse! I spent today with my daughter and The Littles and it was so nice. I hope you’ve had an enjoyable day, Allan.

  9. We have a lot of friends in tech-related positions, so they have come up so many good ones that it’s hard to narrow it down! Our current name “Marty McWi-Fi.”

    The glass is refillable.

It has always been science… especially when I got to experiment. Had I not suffered a work injury, I would be in medical research.

My friends are so varied in personality, that this is hard to nail down. I guess someone who is able to be funny, open to others’ ideas, and okay with the fact that sometimes I just drop off the face of the earth now and then.

    Basically, a Hobbit house.

    • OMG I love your wifi name! 😀 That is so clever!

Good answer! I will say that from now on. LOL

Science is cool! Medical research would be interesting. I hope you are well.

I totally understand the whole dropping off the face of the earth now and then.

OMG! I would love a Hobbit house!

  10. Was haaa haaa! Your IP address can’t be beat. Genius young man with a sense of humor. I can see where music theory and chemistry schematics work well together. Both require a diligent mind. And you live in an authentic Italianate home! I be sooo jealous.

Well, here are my get to know me. Kinda anticlimactic after yours.

What’s the best Wi-Fi name you’ve seen? Yule B Sorry. I think this was a warning not to try to hack in for a free spin around the internet.
Is the glass half-full or half-empty? For me, the glass is half empty because I’ve used up all my free refills.
What was your favorite subject in high school and/or college? In high school it was English literature even tho my teacher sent me to the principle in a case of mistaken misbehavior. I absolutely did not produce an angry elephant fart in class. It was the rubber feet on my desk scooting on a freshly waxed floor. I think I would have been alright, but I snort laughed at the sound it made (in high school, teen boys are known to be developmentally delayed). In college, it was Descriptive Geometry. When I discovered I could think in three dimensions, it changed my life.
What qualities do you look for in a friend? My best friend would be someone that gracefully accepts all my limitless faults and doesn’t sell my personal story to the Dark Web.
What would your dream house look like? My dream house is a completely renovated 16th Century French Chalet on top of a mountain with a turret and grand ball room with a concert Grand Piano.

    • LOL Imagine me and The Mister looking at the list of wifis that come up, and us wondering who would name their wifi that? Then, finding out it was us! LOLOL He’s pretty clever.

Now that you mention it, music theory and chemistry aren’t that far apart. lol

You wouldn’t be jealous of all the things we have to do to keep this place up. LOLOL

Yule B Sorry is hilarious! LOL

I hereby grant you as many more refills as you require. 😀

Snort laughing made you look guilty, although if I’d been the teacher, I would like to think I would have given the benefit of the doubt. Or would I? LOL 😀 I haven’t heard of Descriptive Geometry, but it sounds fascinating! That’s cool it changed your life!

LMAO! Now that would be a friend indeed!

Wow! That sounds so lovely! I expect you to throw lots of parties! 😀

  11. Fun questions! I would love to see pics of your house.
    1. Nohayinternet (In Spanish: there is no internet)
    2. Full of orange juice with mucha sugar.
    3. Literature and grammar.
    4. Sincere, reliable, someone who does not go around blabbering about what we talk about.
    5. It will have a sunroom. In fact, if we add it to our house, it will become kinda dreamish now.

    • I’m so glad you like the questions! 😀 I would love to show you pics, perhaps in the future we can do this.

      1. LOL I love that! So funny!
      2. Sounds refreshing! 😀
      3. Very nice.
      4. Yessss, now that’s my kind of friend.
      5. That sounds lovely. I really like sunrooms.
  12. What’s the best Wi-Fi name you’ve seen? Bring in your barking dog.
Is the glass half-full or half-empty? Half full unless it is bourbon then…well you know.
What was your favorite subject in high school and/or college? History without a doubt
What qualities do you look for in a friend? Someone who is confident in who they are and are honest.
What would your dream house look like? Three stories, porch surrounds like Old Savannah.

  13. You have some great answers to your questions KymberNoodle! 😜 Now I am dying with your son’s IP address, “It hertz when IP.” 😂😝🤣 Honey, comedy runs in your family for sure! 🎭 Love it!

  14. Normally I dislike overshare, but being new to following each other and for the sake of breaking the ice, I’ll play along. 🙂

Best WiFi: I can’t think of anything that really stands out as super clever and funny. One I did see in the past was “FBI Surveillance Van” though, LOL. Yes it’s fake because the FBI isn’t that unsubtle. 🙂

The Glass: Depends on the Glass and the Day. Something I’m working hard on.

Fave Classes: History in both, with a second place in college for Computer Forensics

Friends: Authenticity (goes beyond simple honesty), Open minded but balanced with discernment, and integrity

House: Robin’s Nest on the Magnum PI reboot. 😀

    • Hi there! 🙂

That’s hilarious about the FBI van! haha

Now, those are some good points about the glass. Good answer!

I love history, and that’s cool that you also enjoy Computer Forensics. That sounds interesting!

Wow, that would be a good friend to have, that’s for sure.

I love that! 😀 Sounds perfect.

      Thank you for playing! 🙂

  15. Not only do I love these questions, but I also like to read other people’s answers.

I am most definitely a glass-half-full type of person
    Geography and literature
    Reliable and trustworthy
While I love where I live now, from time to time, I dream of what it’s like sitting in front of a fire, in a log cabin in the mountains, with a beautiful view of a forest or a lake

    • Awww… thank you! 🙂 I love seeing the answers, too.

      YAY for the glass half-full!
      Geography and literature are cool!
I think those qualities would make a terrific friend.
Oh, now, that does sound nice. Right up my alley! 😀

Thank you so much for playing!

  16. Kymber, Great answers to an eclectic set of questions! I’ve never really looked at WiFi names and will now have to take note of these! Aww … how lovely to live in your dream home! Mine would be anywhere by the ocean, not too far from a town with arts in it, somewhere where it is at least warm in summer! It would be timber-framed, lots of glass windows overlooking the water, an inner courtyard with zen-like garden … sorry, I’m enjoying this day-dream. xx

    • Why, thank you, Annika! 😀 I think living by the ocean would be amazing! I love the sound of the town nearby as well as the description of all the windows! I can picture it and it’s beautiful!

I’m glad you enjoyed the daydream. I did, too. 🙂

  17. Number 1 – I can’t think of any lol
Number 2 – The glass is two times bigger than it needs to be 😋
    Number 3 – History
Number 4 – Loyalty and kindness
Number 5 – A cabin in the mountains far from humanity lol

  18. I may have asked b4, but my memory is short. Where do you live again?

I can’t remember any wifi names that stuck out to me.
    Glass always half-full!
Fav subjects in school: English, humanities, science and biology, arts-loved being in choir, English lit.
    Honesty, loyalty, authenticity, humor
Anything near the ocean where i could see and hear the waves crashing.

    • No worries. 🧡🐈🌳🌷 I live in Michigan.

      Half-full! Yep! 😀 I thought you’d say that.

I like the subjects you chose. I like them, too.

That sounds like a great friend!

I think that sounds lovely, Kim. 🙂

      Thank you for playing!

  19. Morning Kymber! I am starting to like these questions… They are unique and random.. I love your responses… That WIFI name is hilarious! Your house sounds amazing and I am glad you have your dream home!

    What’s the best Wi-Fi name you’ve seen?
I saw one on my phone the other day when I was out named “hotnewfie01”

Is the glass half-full or half-empty?
    Always, half full!

What was your favorite subject in high school and/or college?
Science and computers. I wanted to be a nurse for as long as I can remember, until I got hurt and saw what they had to do for me while I was in the hospital for those months. I realized I couldn’t do it, my emotions would get in the way.

What qualities do you look for in a friend?
    integrity, honesty, loyalty, and authentic

What would your dream house look like?
Hmm.. I want a house where I can see the Ocean from my windows. I have no idea what it is about the Ocean I find so fascinating but it draws me in, always did. I can sit for hours just watching the waves and feel it’s power.

    • Thank you, Stella! 🙂 Our son is big on these little pranks. LOL Luckily, the neighbors haven’t mentioned it to us. We’ve, of course, changed it to something very boring. LOLOL

That WiFi name is so funny! 😀

      Absolutely to half-full. 😀

I agree about emotions and nursing. I can’t tell you how hard it was to keep my nurse face on, then cry all the way home once I got to my car. You really do have to keep a poker face.

      I think you’ve described a great friend!

Oh, yes, wouldn’t that be beautiful to have an ocean-view? I like the effect the ocean has on you. I feel that in the forest. Although, the top of my bucket list is to see orcas and dolphins out free in the ocean.

Thank you so much for playing, my friend! xo
