Happy timezones, friends! I hope the month of February was good to you!
Here is my progress:
I want to read more of the “Witches of Palmetto Point” series by Wendy Wang since I’ve read 5 of them. So far, there are 13 books in the series.
I would also like to return to the “Amelia Peabody” series by Elizabeth Peters.
Another series I started was “The Haunted” by Lee Mountford, and I would like to continue reading these books. There are 8 in the series right now, and I am currently reading #5.
There are so many books on my TBR, I want to read them all!
The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live Season 1 | Roswell Seasons 1, 2, & 3 |
Winchester | The Case of the Whitechapel Vampire |
The Traitors Australia Season 1 | The Traitors Seasons 1 & 2 |
The Traitors UK Season 1 | Dune (a refresher) |
Torture Garden | Dark Harvest |
The Postcard Killings | The Marvels |
Some exciting movies are coming in 2024 like The Crow and Nosferatu with Bill Skarsgård, Dune Part Two with Timothée Chalamet, and Florence Pugh (It’s finally out!!), and Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. Other movies I’m looking forward to are Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, A Quiet Place: Day One, Beetlejuice 2, Joker: Folie à Deux, and Wicked Part 1.
What did you read in January, and what was your favorite?
What did you watch, and what did you think about it?
February was a good month! We had record-breaking temperatures that melted the snow, and we even opened our windows those few days! Cesare and Josie-Pye got to sun themselves in the sunroom, and all should have been well in the Hawkes’ nest because we appreciate these little things in life. But my sweet little buddy Cesare is still very ill. In fact, he’s gotten worse. I’ll provide an update after he sees the veterinarian again. Please send him prayers and good vibes. Thank you.
We had a lovely trip to Indiana to visit relatives. More on that in another post, though!
Wherever you are, I hope February was good to you. I would love to hear about it in the comments below.
↬ I know this isn’t officially the last day of February, but I have a special post coming out tomorrow from the serial Old Stone. Saturday, expect a sweet entry of this story. ↫
Thank you so much for reading, liking, lurking, and commenting! You are important!

I really liked your reading plan. I wish you pleasant reading.
Thank you so much. Happy reading to you! 🙂
Girl you rock!!!!!! I’m so impressed
Thank you so much, Belladonna! 🌷🧡
You’re welcome my reading machine!
LOLOL 😀 You always brighten up my day. 🙂
You aer so sweet! Thank you so much!
Ha! I love those book covers! I’ll have to see if some of those are on Audible
They are all on Audible. 😀 I can vouch for that because I listened to them on my phone while working. 😀 I hope you like them.
Wow, Kymber, you read some dark stuff. What did I read in January. A few poetry books, Interview with a Vampire by Anne Rice, The Sealwoman’s Gift, and I’m now reading The Magic Mountain by Thomas Mann. I also read Staci’s contribution to the Harbor Pointe series and a collection of short stories, The Storm, by ESther Chilton.
Those look like great books! I haven’t read anything by Anne Rice in years. I didn’t realize there were so many in The Haunted series when I started it, and now I feel like I have to finish it. They’ve been pretty good, but I’ve been known to slide a rom-com in there once in a while. 😀
Hi Kymber, I also read the odd romance book. Sometimes I feel a need to read something light.
Yes, exactly. 🙂
💓
PS, for some reason, I cannot post comments on your blog. I fill in all my details and it says I have to be logged in to post a comment. Hopefully this resolves.
I’m so sorry you’re having difficulties. You’re not the only one who has told me this. I’m trying to figure out what the problem is. xo
💗
We definitely have different tastes, lol. I’m glad you’re doing well with your Goodreads reading challenge!
My tastes change as quick as the weather around here. Which is pretty fast. LOLOL 😀 I have read 3 rom-coms in March so far.
Whoa. Those look like dark reads, Kymber. Perfect for February and hiding inside. The cover of Haunted Mother Death is almost too scary to look at. And thanks for the list of series and movies. We’re always on the look out and it seems that we like the same kind of entertainment. Happy March.
TBH, Diana, I didn’t really look at the cover until I set this post up. I was like, “Whoa!” haha I hope March is treating you well!
It is! Now that it stopped snowing. Lol
I know that’s right! LOL 😀
Definitely good reading progress. I must admit my reading speeds up/slows down depending on what photo projects/posts I have to work on (and lately, how much shoveling I have to d). Sorry to hear Cesare being ill. Hope he is better soon. Happy Leap Day. Allan
Thank you, Allan. I hear you on the shoveling, although, we’ve been having crazy/strange weather this winter. I hope you had a good Leap Day!
15 of 100 books read, very good, Kymber. I love your reading plan.
Thank you, Miriam. I pledged to read 100 books, so I need to read about two a week to stay on track.
I hope you are able to pick up all the books on your TBR for March!
Thank you, Alicia. (Your site is soooo pretty, btw!)
My TBR is soooo overwhelming. I keep adding to it even though it wants to fall over. lol
I don’t know how you do it but my ChickiePotPie, you are a READING BEAST! Slay those books girlfriend!!! 📕📚📗
LOL I’m trying, Chickie, I’m trying! 😀 I do a lot of audiobooks because I can listen to them on my phone while I work. 😀
Well look at you! Go on Oprah Winfrey with your big ole book club!!! 🤓📚😍
hahahaha If only… 😀 😀 😀 😂
Sure hope things go well with Cesare, Kymber. You named so many movies I’m excited about and some I wasn’t even aware of! I’ve been a Plant of the Apes fan since grade school. I’m planning to see Dune 2 on my own Friday. My rewatch of Dune 1 was even better the second time around.
The Mister and I are chomping at the bit to see Dune 2. I can’t believe we haven’t seen it yet! He’s been working a lot of weekends and doing some home improvements, so it’s hard to juggle things sometimes. My rewatch of Dune 1 was better the second time around, too.
What did you think of the first episode of “The Ones Who Live?” (Walking Dead)
The Mister and I watched it together and thought it was nice seeing Richonne again. LOL 😀 What did you think of it? I think episode 3 just dropped Sunday night. We watched it last night.
Yay Kymber.
🌷
Thanks for this idea . Anita
Hi, Anita. Thank you for stopping by!
The traitors UK on Netflix. But still expecting the Season 2. Best
Yes, same here. 🙂 I think there are a couple episodes of season 2 now. We started watching season 2, episode 1 last night but The Mister was too tired to keep his eyes open.
Praying for your sweet kitties!
So how do you read so many books?
My meds make me sleepy so fast, I can barely get in three pages, lol!
Thank you, Kim. 🌷
I do a lot of audiobooks. I can listen to them on my phone, slip my phone into my apron pocket, and do all my chores. I used to be a voracious reader of the written word, but I have concentration problems. Audiobooks have worked out really well for me.
That’s great! Whatever works!!
That’s my motto! 😂
Looks like a great month of reading!!!
Thank you! 🌷🧡
You and I would have funny hanging out together, reading. That last one–I might have to skip. It doesn’t give you nightmares?
I think we would, too, Jacqui. 🌷🧡 😀 No nightmares. The cover is worse than the story, scary-wise. lol 😀
Hi Kymber! First things first. Get well head bonks from my two littles to Cesare. I hope everything turns out well for him at the next trip to the veterinarian.
I’ve been on a Stephen King trip for a while now, and though I have two novels and a memoir started, I haven’t muddled all the way through any of them yet. “On Writing” is fantastic, even if a lot to digest.
I started watching my old favorite, “24”, earlier in February, but
I’ll thank my Velcro cat for the early post! As I was saying, I haven’t quite made my way back to Jack Bauer yet.
Best wishes for Cesare and Josie-Pye. 😊
That’s good to know. Thank you, Wendy! xo I haven’t watched “24” before, but I have always heard really good things about it.
