  1. Happy Blogaversary!
I hope you stay on forever.
I began my blog in 2012 and so many great ones from way back when just up and left. No final blog, no leads to where else they are writing, nothing…. and honestly, it breaks my heart.
We’re not just writers behind computers, we are human beings and we do get attached to our fellow bloggers.
So, keep up the great work and enjoy your special day, in style!
People love your work more than you’ll ever realize! xo

    1. Thank you, Maryanne. I hope you do, too. 😀 You got quite a head start! lol That’s awesome you began in 2012.

I know what you mean about reading regular blogs, and then they just disappear. So often, people don’t know how much they are appreciated. It breaks my heart, too.

Yes, I agree with you. I do appreciate your encouragement.

I feel that way about your work. xo

      1. I had a many year head start blogging back when Live Journal was a big deal. Some of the writers there were mind-blowing! It died when Facebook became popular, which makes no sense because Facebook is so anti-writing and more about pictures. I guess people just got lazy.
And that’s when I found WordPress. Even though I was making a living as a writer, I still needed that platform to share my personal thoughts and life and connect with others who did so. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but so are words!

        1. I totally agree with your assessment of Facebook. I’ve been watching a lot of SimLit writers moving over to Tumblr. Which makes sense, I guess, because it’s a picture-oriented type of writing. I just can’t do it, though, I’ve tried because Tumblr’s posts are hard to follow a story on (well, for me they are; other simmers don’t seem to have any problem with it and really like it).

I’ve tried blogger and weebly, and liked wp because of the Reader.

I agree about words. They are important and the craft of writing is not an easy one. It’s a talent not everyone has. 🙂 But you, of course, definitely do.

          1. Here’s one of my favorite writers who abandoned her WordPress: https://editrixabby.wordpress.com/category/musings/
I actually know Abby in real life.
Her ex husband was the editor for Screw (while she was editor at Penthouse). I knew him first (everyone knew everyone in the writer/poet scene in NYC and NJ) and when she left Penthouse, I got her a job at Outlaw Biker Enterprises as an editor. (We had biker, tattoo, body piercing and art magazines; eventually I was writing for all of them).
In turn, she let me write for some other magazines she edited.
I haven’t talked to her in a long time, but she’s awesome and one of the best writers in my opinion.

            1. It’s so sad her blog is abandoned. Maybe she will return one day? That would be so cool to know all those people. I’m glad you’re going strong.

              She sounds pretty awesome. 🙂

  2. Happy Blogoversary, Kymber. It’s amazing how quickly time flies, isn’t it? You have a wonderful, welcoming blog, and it’s a joy to visit. Here’s to many more years of friendship. Hugs.

    1. Thank you so much! I agree with you about the frosting. 😀 My younger sister once said, when we were kids, “The cake is only there to hold the frosting up.” LOL Hugs xo

  3. Happy Blogaversary,Story Spinner!!! I wish you many more happy years of blogging ahead! Love the stories and keep them coming!! Your avid fan, CJD
