November Reading Wrap-Up!

Happy timezones, friends!

Here is my progress for November:

I would like to read more of the β€œWitches of Palmetto Point” series by Wendy Wang since I’ve read 4 of them. So far, there are 13 in the series.

I would also like to return to the β€œAmelia Peabody” series by Elizabeth Peters.

What I really can’t wait for, though, is to read some Christmas themed books!

  1. Thank you for sharing!.. just finished “Murder on the Orient Express”, think I may research some lady sleuth books for the winter… πŸ˜‰

Hope all is well in your part of the universe and until we meet again…
    May your troubles be less
    Your blessings be more
    And nothing but happiness
    Come through your door
    (Irish Saying)

    1. Hi there, Dutch. Nice to see you. πŸ™‚ I love, love, love lady sleuth books. That’s a great way to get through winter time.

I hope all is well with you, too. Thank you for the sweet Irish saying.

  2. I’m a big fan of For All Mankind. Waiting weekly for the season 4 episodes to drop. Trying to finish a couple other things before starting Loki season 2, and started the final episodes of Fear the Walking Dead. Happy Reading and Watching, Kymber!

    1. I’m so with you on For all Mankind. I’m binging it at the moment. lol πŸ˜€ Loki season 2 is sooooo good! You will love it. Happy reading and watching to you, too, Teri!

  3. I just read a book that I loved all the way through until the last few chapters.
It was called “Chemical Hearts” about teenage unattainable love.
Mind you, I don’t expect happy endings and I love dark things, but the ending was awful.
It was obviously written by a bitter woman who didn’t believe in love at all. If she just left the ending as an unhappy ending, I would have been fine with it, but I didn’t need to read an anti-love diatribe by a fictional older divorced sister doling out negative love advice trying to disguise itself as profound. That killed it for me. It could have been great.
Now I’m going to clear my head of that gross negativity by re-reading “The Christmas Pig” by Kinky Friedman. I read it every year in December. There are 23 chapters and I read one chapter per night, finishing by Christmas Eve! It’s a beautiful book with a beautiful message.

    1. Chemical Hearts sounds really interesting. It’s too bad about the ending, though. I hate when you’ve invested all that time and then the ending is disappointing. I totally agree with you on your thoughts about the author and how you don’t need an anti-love diatribe. I’m glad to know this so I don’t waste my time on this book.

I’m going to look up The Christmas Pig. That looks really good! I love how you read one chapter per night so you finish on Christmas Eve. I just really love that!

  4. Thanks for sharing your reading thoughts, Kymber. I see some I need to check out, even though my Kindle is about to implode. πŸ™‚ The best book I read in November was in the Throne of Glass Series by Sarah J. Maas. Those books are so huge it takes a while to read them. And Goodreads is telling me I am behind 2 books on my challenge, so glad you are ahead!

    1. LOL I know what it’s like to have such a full Kindle. πŸ˜€

Ooooh, thank you for the recommendation. I’m going to look that one up, for sure!

I took this pic a few days ago, so I’m only 1 book ahead now. I’ve been reading today some. Hopefully I will have more reading time tonight. (I’m a total insomniac, so I end up reading a lot at night.)

  5. I’m also impressed with your Goodreads progress! Also, what did you think of “A Murder at the End of the World”? I saw the trailer but haven’t checked out the show yet.

    1. Thank you, Dave. I started so late on the Goodreads challenge. I can’t believe I put 100 books as the goal. I’m really competitive, especially with myself. lol

I liked “A Murder at the End of the World.” I tend to like genres like this. It reminds me slightly of And Then There Were None. I’d love to hear what you think of it if you watch it.

  6. Girl, you were on a roll in November! 😱 I am so impressed with your Goodreads goal that you are on target to complete! You go ChickiePotPie! Keep the momentum going my friend! πŸƒπŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ₯‚πŸƒπŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

    1. Thank you so much, Chickie! I’m trying hard to keep up! πŸ˜€ I’m on chapter 17 out of 26 on my current book. πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ Fingers, eyes, and toes all crossed as I veer toward the finish line! πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€
