Update

Back to the Blog!

Happy timezones, dear friends! I come with glad tidings and hope you are still here to receive them. lol

Happily, things with the site seem sorted now, and I don’t believe we lost anyone. I was able to work out a better deal with my host, so I ended up not migrating the site. However, if anymore hidden fees or upgrades come along, I will seriously consider moving back to WordPress.com. I don’t believe I’ll be as happy there, but a blogger has to do what a blogger has to do.

In the time being, I’m working on the next chapter of Old Stone, and I will have that out soon. The Rose family is about to attend the Fall Festival, which should be fun!

I took a short break from reading, as well as being online, but I am back now. I can’t wait for the months’ end post where I sum up what I’ve read and watched. I hope October has treated you well thus far.

I’m sorry I’ve been absent from reading your wonderful content, but you will soon see I’ve been trying to make up with that. I really love what you write, and I can’t wait to fully catch up!

I will also respond to your lovely comments, and I thank you for leaving them for me. You are so kind.

I’m still reading Frankenstein, and I’m enjoying it. And, I just finished watching a limited series on Netflix called, Bodies. It was pretty good!

What are you reading and watching?

Thank you for being so patient with me. I really appreciate you and your time.

  1. Thank you for sharing and congratulations on being able to follow your dreams!.. hope all goes well for you in the future!!.. 🙂

Hope you have a wonderful day today, and every day and until we meet again..
    May your day be touched
by a bit of Irish luck,
    Brightened by a song
    in your heart,
    And warmed by the smiles
    of people you love.
    (Irish Saying)

  2. Oh, phew! You must be so relieved to have worked out a better deal with your hosting service. That can be soo ostressful thinking about having to migrate. It would drive me absolutely bonkers if I had to go back to Woirdpress.com. Website options are terribly limiting unless you pay through the nose. They want you to pay for all kinds of bits and bobs, and it can really add up. So far, so good with my hosting company, so thank goodness it’s one thing I don’t have to worry about at this time. Everything looks awesome! Again, thank you for helping me with the makeover on my site https://sweetnightingale.com/ I love how it came out. You were so helpful with this whole theme and the learning curve of it. 🙂

I recently finished Book 13 of the Witches of Palmetto Point series. There’s one more left, as far as I know, but I’m waiting for it to be released on Audible. Ole Charlie got a good workout over here. LOLOL!!! Great sreies.

Right now, I’m on Book #2 of the Kitty Norville series by Carrie Vaughn. I just finished “Kitty and the Midnight Hour” and am now about an hour or so into “Kitty Goes to Washington.” It’s a series of murder mysteries with the protagonist being a radio talk show host who happens to be a werewolf. You should read it! 😀

I’ve been on a bit of a musical kick the last few days, so I watched “Les Miserables” from, I think, 2012. It was pretty good although I’ve heard better singers elsewhere. Still, it was well done, so I’m glad I watched it. I also watched the 25th Anniversary showing of “Miss Saigon” on Amazon Video. I love the music, but dang, the storyline is a killer. If you don’t overannalyze the storyline, it’s a beautiful musical and one that makes me blubber every time. However, if you’re one to pick out things like typical stereotypes and culture flaws/errors, it won’t be for you. I’m telling you, every time I listen to a song from there or watch a performance of the show, I totally want to rewrite the ending. LMAO!! Both my muse and vivid imagination have been working overtime to think up alternative endings. 😀 Oh Mylanta! We just can’t help ourselves. LOLOLOL!!! My writer’s heart wants to make it right. 😀

Have a great weekend, my friend. (((hugs)))

  3. Change is good—is it? Must be if you’re happy that’s the most important thing! I’m sure WORDPRESS—at least I hope they are—is sorry to have lost you! I’m sticking with WP ’cause it still meets my blog needs for now. Somebody should hold a “pounding party” for you in your new home! 😀

  4. Glad it all worked out. WP is a mixed blessing with suggested improvements (which is debatable) that become mandatory with or without your concurrence.

  5. Oh girlfriend, a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do! No need to apologize, because the technical snafus can drive you bananas. I have my website separate from my WP blogsite. The content on my website is strictly for marketing purposes, where my WP site is more on the social media line of communique. So honey, I hope things are now back in order and will work out superbly for you! See you soon Chickie Pie! 😁😜😍

  6. So glad that you’re staying!
Currently I’m reading a book that I’ll be interviewing the author for an article, so it’s a secret. (Hint: someone in the film industry).
And watching … I follow “Oh Lordy It’s Jordy” on You Tube. He has new content every day, following the Eugenia Cooney drama. His commentary is very fair. He seemed crass at first, but he grew on me.

  7. I’m glad you were able to sort things out with your hosting company! It would suck to have to go back to WordPress.com. Unless you pay for their upgrades (which can cost even more than self-hosting), your website options are extremely limited. Anyway, happy writing! 🙂 We recently watched a docudrama mini-series on Netlfix, called “Painkiller”, about the pharmaceutical company that started the opioid crisis. Riveting!

    1. Thank you so much, Debbie. I tell ya’, it’s a nightmare trying to compare all the different plans and fees. I would hate going back where there is basically no freedom, but on the other hand, I don’t have to fix problems there that come up either. Still, the freedom to use what plugins and themes I want is important to me.

Oh, that does sound good! I will definitely put it on My List on Netflix. Thank you for the recommendation!

  8. Sounds like a plan, Kymber. I’m glad things are working out! My husband and I just started watching “Bodies.” We’ve enjoyed it so far. It’s hard to find shows we like, so recommendations are always welcome. 🙂 Happy Writing!

    1. Thank you, Diana. I’m glad you’ve enjoyed Bodies thus far. 🙂 I can’t wait to see what you think about it when you’re done. I enjoy getting recommendations, too, because you are right, it’s hard to find shows I like.

Happy writing to you, too! 📝😺🤍

  9. Glad to hear the blog worked out! I have my writer’s blog on WP.com and two others on .org. The biggest difference from my perspective is if you want to monetize the blog. I don’t for my writer’s blog, do for my ed blog.

Your blog is beautiful, so restful to visit!

    1. Thank you, Jacqui. Oh, yes, I see what you mean. I had wondered about monetizing, but it’s just something I’ve never seriously looked into.

I hope you’re having a great day, and so appreciate you telling me you like my site. 🙂
