    1. LOL I love your answers, Cheryl! Especially the one about your sibling’s name.

I knew a girl in high school who had a sun lamp and it burned her face so badly, her eyes were slits. It was a hideous experience for her. I hope nothing like that happened to you. 🀍🌺

What’s a movie you can practically quote from start to finish? My cousin Vinny.
What Disney/cartoon character were you inexplicably afraid of as a kid? That kid from those Mad magazine covers

I enjoy this. I would like to know your answers as well!

    1. Goldens are such wonderful dogs. I’ve never met one I didn’t automatically love.
That’s funny about Bruce Lee. I’d like to think it’s true, but what a picture it put in my head! lolol
Ooooh, yes! My Cousin Vinny is awesome! I love that movie. It really had me in stitches.
That kid from the Mad magazines was sure creepy!

Okay, I will post my answers now.

I’m so glad you love doing these. I have so much fun reading all the answers!

  6. It’s been so long since I’ve been active on WP but just wanted to say hi! I’ll have to catch up on Noble Doubt soon πŸ™‚

What are the best and worst purchases you’ve ever made? Best is my couch – it’s secretly a futon but doesn’t look like one and is actually comfortable! Worst is when I kept buying wooden soap holders even though they kept getting moldy within a few weeks.
What would your parents have named you if you were the opposite gender? James, or John, or something similar.
What’s the most ridiculous fact you know? A giraffe can kill a lion with its kick.
What’s a movie you can practically quote from start to finish? The first Lord of the Rings movie (although fully start to finish would be quite the challenge).
What Disney/cartoon character were you inexplicably afraid of as a kid? Captain Hook, I cried
and hid when I saw him at Disney Land as a kid…

    1. It’s so, so good to see you, Raymond! I’ve missed you so!

Your couch sounds really cool! But those soap holders… ew. lol I can see why they were your worst purchase.
Whoa! A giraffe can kill a lion with its kick! I reckon that is a good thing!
That would definitely be a challenge, but that movie is sooooo good!
Oh, yes, Captain Hook. How frightening!

  7. What are the best and worst purchases you’ve ever made? My Lodge In the Drakensberg Mountains. / 1970 Lada Vaz motor car.
What would your parents have named you if you were the opposite gender? Pierrette Jessamine.
What’s the most ridiculous fact you know? The moon is blue.
What’s a movie you can practically quote from start to finish? I never have a detailed recall of movies I watch.
What Disney/cartoon character were you inexplicably afraid of as a kid? Disney mouse (the pirate.)

    1. I love what you would have been named if you were of the opposite gender. So beautiful.
Wow! The moon is blue! You learn something every day!
I love the answer of the pirate! There are so many answers that came to my mind when I wrote that question.

  8. You have to share your answers too, Kymber. I’m interested. These questions were fun. Here are my answers for most of them:
What would your parents have named you….? I’m guessing “Justin” (my younger brother’s name).
What’s the most ridiculous fact you know? That 81 million Americans own 434 million guns.
What’s a movie you can practically quote…? Monty Python and the Holy Grail
What Disney/cartoon character…? The flying monkeys in the Wizard of Oz.
    Hugs, my friend.

    1. I may be in the same boat with Monty Python and the Holy Grail! The first time I saw that movie was at 3 AM with a friend when I was young. That made it so much more memorable for some reason, especially the end scene!

      1. It’s such a bizarrely funny movie, isn’t it? I’ve seen it a bunch of times, and I don’t know all the lines, but I know a lot of them. Mel Brooks movies come in second with Blazing Saddles and Young Frankenstein. I start laughing just thinking about them.

    2. Ooooh, that’s a good point, Diana. I should have answered the questions, too. I’ll answer them here and then put them in a comment of my own.

Whoa! That gun fact is insane, isn’t it?
Monty Python and the Holy Grail! Yes! I’ll never get over the coconuts! hahaha
Yeah, for sure the flying monkeys! Those things were so frightening!

      Hugs to you, my friend.

      My answers:
What are the best and worst purchases you’ve ever made? The house we live in now/The house we live in now. haha

What would your parents have named you if you were the opposite gender? I would have been a “Ky.”

What’s the most ridiculous fact you know? When Mary Stuart (the Queen of Scotts) was only six days old, she became the Queen of Scotland.

What’s a movie you can practically quote from start to finish? The Wizard of Oz and Clue

What Disney/cartoon character were you inexplicably afraid of as a kid? Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty

      1. I love your first answer. The Truth! Ha ha. And your other answers were great. Whoa on that strange fact. And Malificent is very scary in the original Disney movie – almost too scary!

        1. IKR? My kids never saw Sleeping Beauty because of her. In fact, when my daughter was little, I thought Snow White might be fun. I remember going to the theater when I was a kid with my parents because they were showing it. My dad and I laughed a lot at Dopey.

Well, I forgot how scary that movie might be to a child. Except Katy wasn’t frightened of the evil queen, she started sobbing when Snow White gets lost in the woods and she’s alone and frightened.

I had to turn it off and find something different that day. LOL

    3. Favorite scene: “I’m French! Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly King?” When you live in France, you really get the measure of ther accents and their chauvinism – which I’ve come to like quite much!

  9. Same item: my 12 hole Doc Martens. Best: well duh, they’re freaking awesome! Worst: no one warns you it’s going to take months of constant use to stop getting blisters!
If I was a boy I would have been named Brandon which is a million times better than Stephanie LOL
    Pigs have 3 day orgasms
    Lion King
    Gargamel from Smurfs

    1. Oh yeah, the blisters! They look so good, but you definitely have a point there.

Awww I like the name Stephanie. πŸ˜€ My son in law is a Brandon.

      Do pigs really? Whoa!

      Woot to Lion King! lol

      Gargamel was so freaky!

  10. What are the best and worst purchases you’ve ever made? Dog Adoptions best – Simca Matra Bagheera, used car worst by a mile
What would your parents have named you if you were the opposite gender? Alexander – now it’s my middle name without the ‘r’
What’s the most ridiculous fact you know? Milky Way (candy bar) swims in milk
What’s a movie you can practically quote from start to finish? Out of Africa
What Disney/cartoon character were you inexplicably afraid of as a kid? None

    1. I totally agree about dog adoptions! I often us the hashtag #adoptdontshop on Twitter. In our case, we have adopted cats. πŸ˜€

I love your middle name (and your first name, too). They really go together.

I did not know it swims in milk. lololol Better not tell the kids or they’ll be doing that one. haha

      I love Out of Africa.

  11. The best purchase I’ve made was a used Toyota Corolla; that car lasted a long time with little trouble.” My worst Probably my parents would have named me John, the brother before me.
The most ridiculous fact I’ve heard is that of evolution. Doesn’t make sense to me.
I can quote the movie, “Love and Basketball.” Loved it!
I would say the Joker in the Batman cartoon troubled me.

    πŸ™‚

    1. Hi, Ellie! I remember the Corolla’s and seems like everyone I knew that had one, loved it.

I must see Love and Basketball! Thank you for the recommendation!

Oh yes, the Joker was definitely scary!

  12. β€’ The very best purchases were things I didn’t buy with money at all
    β€’ Paulo
β€’ No fact is ridiculous, but just about everything we are commonly taught as truth needs a good fresh look ~ that’s how we happen to be “rewriting” every science from physics to biology to astronomy to archeology right now. Exciting times!
β€’ Harold and Maude ~ fountain of deep wisdom. And one or two of the Monty Python, um, offerings, as well… πŸ™„πŸ˜†
β€’ I was protected from all harsh, violent and frightening media as a child. Turned me into a poet.

    1. Oh, how clever! Isn’t that the truth?

I love your answer about how no fact is ridiculous! You are so smart and creative. I can tell.

      Monty Python! Yes! LOL

I love how you were turned into a poet. That is wonderful.

  13. What are the best and worst purchases you’ve ever made? Both were impulse buys: Best a mini refurbished 2 cup food processor & a cheap (under 10$) rice cooker, got over a decade of use from both. Worst a discounted name brand kitchen tool, broke during 2nd or 3rd use.

What would your parents have named you if you were the opposite gender? No clue, I've never asked and it's never come up in conversation.

What’s the most ridiculous fact you know? Not sure, possibly just the vast amount of odd random information that never shows up in trivia quizzes.

What’s a movie you can practically quote from start to finish? None a few close though: Blues Brothers, Die Hard, Star Wars ...

What Disney/cartoon character were you inexplicably afraid of as a kid? Not Disney, and not anyone specific character as there were several baddies ... Watership Down. Also the orc army scene from the animated Hobbit as Frodo & Sam are trying to get across Mordor.

    1. I hate when you buy something, and you think it will be so cool and useful and then it breaks! What a bummer!

I feel you on knowing useless information that never shows up in trivia questions.

      I love the movie choices!

Oh yes, Watership Down! I can totally see why!

  14. A laptop was my best buy ever, and still is every time I have to get a new one. Worst buy was a plastic contraption to fold T-shirts my neighbor talked me into acquiring and that I’ve never used. To be honest, I didn’t need much persuading – I’m a bit of a shopaholic!
    I would have been a Mikael or Γ  Nils…
Who needs to know that baby koalas eat their mom’s poop???
    Dirty Dancing!
I was really afraid of Malificent in Sleeping Beauy…

    1. Oooh, yes, I can agree with a laptop being a best purchase, for sure! And, you know, I always wondered how those plastic t-shirt folders worked. I’m glad I’ve never bought one after seeing your opinion on the matter.

LMAO at your koala answer! haha Can’t stop laughing and grimacing at the same time.

No one puts Baby in the corner!! lol

I was thinking Maleficent, too! She was so so scary!

  15. OKAY…Here we go Young Lady!
Best purchase was my wife’s engagement ring
Worst was some stocks that went bust
If I were a girl my parents may have named me Antoinette, after my grandmother
Most ridiculous fact is that I know more useless information than anyone else I know
Movie I can quote…Strawberry Blonde with James Cagney, Rita Hayworth and Olivia DeHavilland
(Olivia is my all time favorite actress by the way)
Finally, I don’t remember being afraid of any Disney characters…
    Now, your turn
What was your first car that YOU paid for
If you were a teacher, what subject would you like to teach
What is your favorite Italian food
Wine or beer. Which do you prefer
Your favorite actor of all time is…

    1. β€’ The van I drive (and live in) now ~ bought by my WordPress readers

β€’ I would teach and have taught poetry as effective self-expression

β€’ Counterquestion: Is their an Italian food it’s possible NOT to love?

β€’ Beer on a hot afternoon, wine on a hot date

β€’ Probably one of the great French actors

      Cheers!

      1. It’s wonderful to see your answers to JC’s questions, too, Ana!

I love your counter question to the Italian food question and I emphatically agree with you! lol

    2. I love that your best purchase was your wife’s engagement ring! How sweet is that? πŸ˜€ Oh my goodness, but I know a lot of useless information, too. I think that’s what prompted that question! LOL Olivia and the others you mentioned are absolutely wonderful! My all time favorite is Judy Garland. Especially when she was teamed up with Gene Kelly!

My turn, eh? LOL Here we go!
What was your first car that YOU paid for – my first car I paid for was one I bought from my grandma for $350. I don’t remember what it was exactly, but it was an old sports car. She always drove in style. lol

If you were a teacher, what subject would you like to teach – I would teach either history or music. I love both!

What is your favorite Italian food – Hmmm…. It’s hard to pick because it’s all good! I tend to love ravioli.

Wine or beer. Which do you prefer – It depends. I’m not a big drinker, but in social situations, I like the cheapest, most sugary wine available. hahaha

Your favorite actor of all time is… Judy Garland! I’ve been a JG enthusiast since I was probably 2 years old which is the first time I saw The Wizard of Oz. πŸ˜€

    3. What was your first car that YOU paid for – A VW Golf GTI
If you were a teacher, what subject would you like to teach – I’m already an Englesh teacher, but history is tempting
What is your favorite Italian food – Icecream!
Wine or beer. Which do you prefer – beer, I just love all the new breweries popping up with fanciful different flavors. But as I live in France, I’ve learnt to appreciate a good wine, too
Your favorite actor of all time is… – Harrison Ford, and Ian Somerhalder because he’s just smoldering hot!

    1. Oh, yes, it does, doesn’t it? We almost named our daughter Jaqueline and we liked the nickname for it, too, but we ended up with a Kathrynn Amanda. Her friends all call her Amanda but family all call her Katy. (I’ve always called her Katy-Lady! lol)
