Writing – the act of one person giving a piece of their soul to another.
– J. Spredemann
A writer is working when he’s staring out of the window.
– Burton Rascoe
The characters in my novels are my own unrealised possibilities. That is why I am equally fond of them all and equally horrified by them. Each one has crossed a border that I myself have circumvented.
– Milan Kundera

Passing on your working writer quote to my readers with grateful mention 🙏
Thank you so much! 🤍🌺
Gosh, I’m glad you wrote back, as I’d left the post incomplete… I went back and fixed it! Thanks again for your valuable content and generous spirit 🙏
Thank you, too. It’s lovely to make a new friend.
It is ~ and, reading your comments, I’m obviously far from the only one who’s delighted to be one of yours!
So cool! Got some laughs! 🙂
That’s awesome! I’m so glad! 😀
Thanks for sharing these! 🥰 The looking out the window one really resonated with me. Sometimes the best thing I could do for my writing was daydream while looking outside or take a walk through nature and be still.
Yessssssss, I agree with your so much. I like being in nature, too. I’m really drawn to the woods and seem to have ideas hit me during those times.
Love these, although I suspect that in mine coffee locator and grammar are backwards as I can tell you every decent coffee house in a 10 mile radius, but often forget whose who’s are whoms more than their’s is there and they’re there …
As to the last one, add extra glee for the subtly hidden for shadowing snuck in. ;D
Thank you so much, Mama Dragon. You made me laugh when you said you could name every coffee house within a 10 mile radius. That is awesome. 😀 I live in a village and we just have the one coffee house. But it’s also a place for book swapping, which is fun.
That’s extra glee for me, too.
Thanks for these chuckles and smiles, Kymber. That writer’s brain T-shirt is fabulous. Although the areas for my stress factory and weird dreams would be a lot bigger. LOL. Hugs.
Thank you, Teagan. I’m glad I could make you smile. I think those areas would be bigger for me, too. lol
Fine quotes Kymber. Surely you need to take breaks and take them often – excellent for the soul. Mine’s a pint of Guinness in our local. The experience is not only relaxing, but often rewarding as you meet interesting characters there – Leprechauns too! I loved Milan’s quote – top drawer. I was never one for circumventing but had a bucket full of underachievement, so I make sure my characters all achieve what the set out to do – mostly in surprising ways. Blessings Peter-James.
Thank you so much, Peter-James. A pint of Guinness sounds like a great break! I think having your characters achieve what they set out to do sounds awesome!
I love the “sarcasm cortex.” Lol. Great quotes, Kymber. My favorite was Kundera’s about our characters. So true and kind of freaky!
LOL Thank you, Diana. I thought it was kinda freaky, too! 😀
🙂
I’ll take the shirt in a Medium please!
Really, I did like the idea and you pointed out everything perfectly and with a nice flair.
The only thing is, I live in NC, where it is very sunny and hot. Do you make the shirt in white or light blue?
LOL I’d like a lighter color for the t-shirt, too. Is NC really humid? I live in the Great Lakes State of MI and it’s humid as all get out, the air is so heavy during the summer.
Very hot here last week. Temps in the high 90’s all week. But the bad part is there are no clouds for a good part of the day. So the sun beats down on you. Kind of humid too. They forecast rain for every afternoon but it rarely comes. Then acthunderstorm
It sounds miserable. I wish you at least had some shade because that does help it to not feel as hot. We got into the 90s, but we have mature trees that help it feel a little bit more bearable. We’ve had a lot of thunderstorms lately, too, which has also helped. I hope you stay cool.
Cool? Young Lady, I was cool before it was cool to be cool!!! LOL LOL LOL
🤣😂
You nailed it, Kymber. Shared…
Thank you so much, Jacqui. 🙂
