Two Little Girls

Two little girls look up
To the mama who was ill
She worked her hardest to stay
With those she loved, but still

Two little girls look up
And they may never know
How much mama sacrificed
So she could always show

How perseverance and faith
Were keys to make her well
Family hands helped a lot
And so did two little girls

Cancer couldn’t beat her
She has too much left to do
Taking care of a military man
And her little girls, too

  1. Awww, this was lovely. <3 And your granddaughters are beautiful. 🙂 So happy she is doing so much better and can enjoy more special moments with her little girls.

  2. Oh Kymber. I’m crying having read this, and with severely dry Sjogrens eyes that quite a feat today! Absolutely perfect, and that photo is heartbreakingly gorgeous. I feel we need a rally cry for Katy and her beautiful family. 💜💙💚💛

  3. Thank you for sharing a part of your world and lovely poem!!… you have a strong loving heart and a wonderful family and friends that supports you and cheers you on!.. I know you will overcome and watch your family grow… “Hope is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul – and sings the tunes without the words – and never stops at all.” ( Emily Dickinson)… 🙂

    Until we meet again…

May flowers always line your path
    and sunshine light your way,
    May songbirds serenade your
    every step along the way,
May a rainbow run beside you
in a sky that’s always blue,
And may happiness fill your heart
each day your whole life through.
    (Irish Saying)

  4. A special heartwarming story Kymber, written from the heart and a standpoint of victory. My wife and special friend has just been diagnosed with breast cancer. She too is a strong lady with loads of courage and I believe she will overcome hers as well. Thank you for sharing.
