The Mirror World

The mirror world is where
We never met
No times of fear
No years of regret

The mirror world is where
The children are not abused
You cannot hurt them
Or make them feel used

The mirror world is where
I wish I began
Instead I am here
And you’re not a real man

The mirror world is now my real world
I marry my best friend
Life may not always be blissful
But my old world is at its end

  2. “The mirror world is where
    I wish I began”

Such a lovely sentence, you can put so many meanings into those few words…

        1. Stay safe, too, John. 🙂 I think that Michigan didn’t get the memo it’s Spring. If it snows one more time… LOL

            1. I saw that. Hopefully, it doesn’t do a lot of damage. I hope Spring comes soon, too. 🙂

  3. Gorgeous photo, and I too was thinking of Dan’s “Paint Me” story! As well as a Sci-Fi movie I saw recently called Upside Down. Your poem stirs up a lot of emotions in me.

  4. This is beautiful Kymber. I’m taking notes. The mirror lake is how I pictured the lake that Gunnar is so fascinated with. You make it a portal to look inside the soul.
