The mirror world is where
We never met
No times of fear
No years of regret
The mirror world is where
The children are not abused
You cannot hurt them
Or make them feel used
The mirror world is where
I wish I began
Instead I am here
And you’re not a real man
The mirror world is now my real world
I marry my best friend
Life may not always be blissful
But my old world is at its end

A beautiful poem, Kymber. I like how it started so mournful and brightened at the end.
Thank you so much. I’m glad you liked it.
So beautiful. I love how your poems all reflect your personal struggles and how you are happier now.
Thank you so much. xo
“The mirror world is where
I wish I began”
Such a lovely sentence, you can put so many meanings into those few words…
Thank you so much. I’m so glad that line stands out.
I love when you do poetry. Wonderful poetry.
Thank you so much. 🙂
Hello dear Kymber. Where is Spring in Michigan? Be careful, be safe and you are welcome.
Stay safe, too, John. 🙂 I think that Michigan didn’t get the memo it’s Spring. If it snows one more time… LOL
Big storm out east. I hope Spring come soon.
I saw that. Hopefully, it doesn’t do a lot of damage. I hope Spring comes soon, too. 🙂
Gorgeous photo, and I too was thinking of Dan’s “Paint Me” story! As well as a Sci-Fi movie I saw recently called Upside Down. Your poem stirs up a lot of emotions in me.
Thank you so much. I haven’t seen that movie, but I love Sci-Fi, so I’m putting it on my list.
Nice!
Thank you kindly, Jess.

That was beautiful. Thank you for sharing. 😃
Thank you so much 🙂
This is beautiful Kymber. I’m taking notes. The mirror lake is how I pictured the lake that Gunnar is so fascinated with. You make it a portal to look inside the soul.
You know what? I thought of Gunnar when I saw this picture! lol Thank you, Dan.
You are most welcomed, Kymber. I think I got lost gazing at the picture and reading your poem.
Aww… well, honestly, I don’t think I’d mind being lost in that picture.
I’d just love to dog paddle around in it. 😁
Wouldn’t that be nice? 😂
Exquisitely so ☺️
Wonderful photo, wonderful poem…thanks!
Thank you so much! 🙂
This is beautiful, Kymber. Bittersweet, melancholy yet so touching. Very nicely written! xx
