Hello there, Feline Friends! It’s me, Cesare, giving you an unsponsored post on two of my favorite things.
Cue the music, hooman! Hooman! Yes, play, My Favorite Things! No, do not sing!
Excuse me while I howl at Kymber again for not being fast enough to make my wishes so. πΉ
“Why are you screaming at me?” Kymber is asking. “Do you want to go in the sunroom?”
“Yes, yes!” I meow, and if I had opposable thumbs, I would surely give her a thumbs up now.
Finally, she opens the door, and I can show you my most favoritist toy.
BTW, Little Kitties, did you know if you’re sleeping most of the day away, you may be bored? If you have a hooman like mine, they will go to extraordinary lengths to make sure you are never depressed.
If you’re feeling blue, have your hooman tantalize you with Da Bird!
It looks like this:
Doesn’t that look like fun? Sometimes, there is a break in the middle of the pole where it is assembled. But my hooman prefers the ones with a solid pole because if the pole comes apart in the middle, I grab dat bird and take off with it, leaving my hooman holding an empty rest of the pole. While this is a fun prank to play, for some reason, it’s more fun for your hooman if you’re jumping all over the house, trying to catch it without them actually having to chase you to get the rest of the toy back.
Oh! And if the feathers get, ahem, chewed up somehow, your hooman can buy replacements for it.
Now that I’ve worked myself up, I’d like to take a restful nap. And what better place to do that than in a cat tree complete with leaves?
This is very similar looking to my tree which is three shelves high. As you’ve undoubtedly found out, you like being as high in the room as you can get. Unless you’re a silly little bush-dweller, that is. My tree is in the sunroom, right where the sun warms me up and worships me most of the day.
I like to rearrange the leaves in my own design and hide in there where no one will bother me. A plus is that the leaves make crunchy noises when you chew on them.
See the fake grass base on there? Go ahead and sharpen your claws to your heart’s content. No one will get upset. Not like when you sharpen them on the new sofa, that is.
True story: Once my hooman put double-sided tape on the sofa where I liked to scratch and as soon as I touched it, I was horrified because I thought there was something sticky on my beautiful bean-toes. Turns out, the sticky stayed on the sofa and I haven’t had the will to try scratching there again.
I had a lot more to show you, fellow felines, but I feel another nap coming on.
Perhaps I’ll return to this subject next time.
Until next time, and remember, Everybody Wants to be a Cat!

NO—SOME OF US JUST WISH WE COULD STILL have a cat…! What was that Disney movie with Dutchess and the kittens? THAT’s where the quote, “Everybody wants to be a cat…” came from!
Oh, Jonathan, you do not know how pleased I am that you got the reference for “Everybody Wants to be a Cat!” It’s from the “Aristocats,” and one of my favorite “cat” songs. π
AHHHHHH—I KNEW IT! I have a decent cat education after all! π We have it—on VCR—which we can’t play anymore! :0(
Yes! LOL We must have gotten our cat educations in the same school. π LOLOL
HA-HA-HA-HA-!
Awwww Cesare, you sweetie pie! I’ve never seen a cat tree with leaves before, what a great idea. Virgil likes to camouflage himself in the garden greenery in the nicer weather so he might actually use a cat tree like this. His favourite thing, like for most felines I think, is napping. They’re just so good at it, aren’t they?! πΊ xx
LOL Thank you, Caz. π Our girl cat, Josie Pye, loves the leafy tree even more than Cesare does. She’s a little tortie we adopted a couple years ago. We got this tree off Amazon. Let me know if you end up getting one. I’d love to hear how Virgil takes to it. π I think their favorite thing is napping, too. lol
You almost make me want a cat–but my dog would object. What a cutie this is! Double-sided tape. Hmm… I may have to try that.
It works! π Thank you, Jacqui. I can understand your dog’s objections. β€οΈ I love dogs, too, but I have the same problem; the objections the cats would have if I ever brought a dog home. lol
Oh my goodness! Too too cute. I love this cat!
LOL Thank you so much. I’m so glad you stopped by π
That tree fort is awesome!
Thank you, Cathy! It’s definitely a favorite spot for our cats. π
I love that cat tree. It’s so pretty! And the double-faced tape – I needed to read this post 40 years ago, but now I know. Ha ha. A fun post. π
LOL Thank you, Diana. I’m glad you liked the post. π The double sided tape worked wonders. hahaha I reckon you know now if you ever get a cat again.
I’d tell my dad about it, but their furniture is beyond hope. π
LOL I’ve had furniture like that.
Hahahahaha! Cesare is quite the character and yes you can tell him I said so. I mean I do want him to like me!
Cesare, I have a new cat in my life, a beautiful soft orange like you who doesn’t like toys at all! So I am bummed. He prefers forehead to forehead pets and loves to cuddle and nap! Also sounds a lot like you!
Cesare loves you, for sure. π
He is jealous of Mac, though. He wants me to tell you that he loves forehead to forehead pets and that it means Mac adores you. xoxo
I will make sure to tell Mac all about him! I think they could be brothers!
LOL I think they’d get along splendidly.
