Sims Traits: bookworm, animal lover, vegetarian, artistic and clumsy. Super clumsy.
As a Registered Nurse, I’ve worked in the C.C.U. (Percutaneous Coronary Intervention), in Hospice as an R.N. Case Manager, and in Rehab as a Charge Nurse. I’ve also done time in Psych Nursing (until that one patient threw his glass eyeball at me because I mispronounced his name), the Emergency Department, Pediatrics, O.B., P.I.C.U, and N.I.C.U. I’ve seen things you don’t want to know about but I end up discussing anyway if you spend enough time with me. Most people are either in hysterical laughter during my stories or thoroughly grossed out. I myself have an iron stomach which is why I guess I make a good nurse, but a bad person to eat dinner with.
I’m addicted to classic movies and TV, music, french fries, animals (especially cats but I also love orcas and dolphins), and, of course, The Sims. I was trained from a very young age in vocal music with the intention of performing, which I did with a band for about a year. In eleven months, we toured the U.S. and recorded an album. It was a lot of fun. Afterward, I went to Bethel College in Indiana as a Performance Major.
Since then, I’ve done studio work and have sung some radio commercials. I sang the National Anthem twice prior to Detroit Tiger games (#GoTigers!). Eventually, instead of pursuing my music, I turned to my other passion which was nursing. Some of the happiest and proudest moments of my life have happened while serving others in this way.
Favorite pastimes include painting and making mosaics, scrapbooking, reading, working in my art journal and pretending I can dance. Oh, and I kind of sort of play the alto saxophone.
Blue jeans, red converse shoes, and Dr. Pepper are my friends and I am an unapologetic fangirl when it comes to Judy Garland and Gene Kelly (Jugenea). Well, I love anything that has to do with Judy Garland, actually. She was 4′ and 11″ of pure talent!
Other obsessions (yes, there’s more… I have a lot of time on my hands apparently): musicals, classic horror, U2 and telling anyone and everyone my theories on the Lizzie Borden case (to my delight, I have even stayed in the house the murders took place in).
I hope you enjoy Noble Doubt. See you around!
